Every eight minutes, a pedestrian is injured in an automobile accident. Every two hours, a pedestrian is killed in an automobile accident. There are ways to reduce the likelihood of an accident, and that’s why we’re encouraging you to be Street Smart, whether you’re a pedestrian or a driver. We’ll help give you the information to provide safer streets and help you avoid being involved in an accident.

One in Three Wrong

In a recent survey, 35% of Nevada respondents answered that pedestrians only have the right of way in a crosswalk if it is painted with white lines.  A crosswalk exists at every intersection whether or not it’s marked.  Click here for a crosswalk illustration and safety tips.
